The 2010-2011 school year was a busy one for the J.A.M. Kids Club. Over the year they joined with the adults in support of the church’s many outreach programs by donating:
- $100 to UNICEF
- $100 to the Japan Relief Fund
- 100 pounds of non-perishable food to the South Thurston United Friends (S.T.U.F.) food bank.
They also earned $500 for camp scholarships by selling concessions once a month at Swede Hall Senior Dances. Thanks in part to their efforts, over 20 youths and adults were able to attend Summer Bible Camps this past summer.
In addition the youths have been active participants in all aspects of our church by serving as Greeters, Liturgists and Acolytes, plus helping prepare and serve breakfast for our Sunday Breakfast Program.

The Little Lambs |
Our youth program is growing by leaps and bounds! We now have three age groups: the 5 and under group, known as The Little Lambs, is led by Kathie Tucker with help from Emilee Gedney and Ashley Phelps. Danette and Bryan Jones lead the K through 5th grade group, known as the J.A.M. (Jesus And Me) Kids. The Godly Crüe, for 6th through 12th grade students, is led by Keith and Anjyl Morgan.
A typical Sunday morning begins with a free breakfast from 9:15 to 9:45, followed by short, upbeat worship service for all that includes sharing of joys and concerns, celebration of new friends and birthdays, donations to the food bank, and an offering. Afterward the youths join their respective age group for programs that explore God through what God does. Since many of the things that God does are because of – or to show His love for – us, an outstretched hand helps create a fun, warm atmosphere for learning, with a focus on praising God through exciting and uplifting prayers and song.
